Kharadar
Where it all began — our historic campus in old Karachi, steps from the sea and the city's founding memories.
Visit KharadarRaunaq-e-Islam Schools — a family of institutions managed by the Pakistan Memon Women Educational Society — has carried the light of education across Karachi for more than 75 years, from preschool classrooms to Cambridge and Matric streams, teacher training and neighborhood schools for underserved communities.
Our Foundation
To provide quality, affordable and character-building education to the children of Karachi — regardless of means — through schools that combine academic rigour with moral grounding and community care.
A Pakistan where every child — and especially every girl — grows up confident, curious and future-ready, carrying forward the vision our founders shared with Mohtarma Fatima Jinnah in 1948.
Ilm (knowledge), Adab (character), Khidmat (service) and Himmat (courage) — four values woven into every classroom, assembly, sports field and staff room across our campuses.
About PMWES
In the earliest days of Pakistan, a group of visionary Memon women — led by Khadija Hajiani — resolved that the new nation's daughters would not be left behind. From a single classroom in Kharadar, the Pakistan Memon Women Educational Society grew into one of Karachi's most respected educational trusts.
Today, the Raunaq-e-Islam family spans multiple campuses, a teacher training institute, special education services, vocational programmes and a network of neighborhood schools serving communities that formal schooling rarely reaches.
